Cinnamon Roll Recipe/Cake Mix Since someone had posted their recipe for banana bread using a cake mix, I wanted to share this recipe for cinnamon rolls using a cake mix. It is so easy and they taste great. Nobody believes these are made out of a cake mix when they try them. It makes them very moist. Ingredients: 1 box yellow cake mix without the pudding 2 1/2 to 3 cups of luke warm water 2 packages dry yeast 5+ cups of flour 1 tsp salt Filling: 1/2 cup margarine 6 or 7 tbsp brown sugar Directions: Mix the above ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer, then add 5+ cups of flour and 1 tsp salt. Mix until well blended. Let the mixture rise until double. Filling: Melt 1/2 cup margarine Add 6 or 7 tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 cup of walnuts. Roll out dough on floured surface to about 3/8 inch thickness. Spread filling mixture onto rolled out dough. Roll dough up and then cut into cinnamon roll size. Place in a 9x12 pan. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. When done you may add powdered sugar and milk frosting after the rolls have cooled a bit. My Notes: 1/2 cup of . . Raisins maybe added also.
